sounds and texture poster design

This is an exploration of sound. For this project, I wanted to explore sound in a visually different way using music. This sound wave is pulled from Adele's song “When We Were Young.” The sound wave comprises the song's lyrics (as seen in the second image). I then added her eyes to the wave because the eyes are sometimes considered the eyes of the soul, and music speaks the soul. The type is so small that it almost makes the image look like it is vibrating. In the printed version of this poster, there is a transparent varnish print of “when we were young” over the entirety of the poster. This adds more of that visual texture that I was going for.
