For this project, I used my illustration skills to create a children’s book about a topic you’d never guess: poop.

Your baby’s poop can tell you a lot about their gut health—from color and texture to frequency and comfort—and that matters because the gut microbiome, largely formed in the first 1,000 days, plays a major role in lifelong health. As the only organic formula in the U.S. with pre- and probiotics, Happy Baby is committed to helping parents give their babies the healthiest start. We partnered with actress, dancer, and mom of three Jenna Dewan to educate parents on strengthening gut health with the right formula and understanding it through poop. Together, we brought this message to life through a fun, educational children’s book about gut health and a helpful poop tracker for parents—because every poop is a step toward a healthy gut.

Working closely with the brand, I built out the world of Happy Babies Poop around the already existing brand guide while adding in some fresh new additions to make the book stand out.
