This poster is designed for a competition that is in celebration of the new composting law in California. The governor of California has recently passed a law that composting will be required for all residences to help lower the amount of organic wastes in landfills. Organic waste is the number one cause of greenhouse gasses and cutting it down is vital for lowering atmospheric pollution. In the competition, the Waste Management Company (WM) is hosting a type competition for designers to design a new typeface for the new compost bins. The winner’s typeface will be used on all the new compost bins in front of homes.
